Fleur de sel — “flower of salt” — forms naturally on the surface of the salt pond only when sun, wind and temperature align. We skim every grain by hand. Our salt comes from Thaung Enterprise, a family business now in its third generation, farming Kampot’s coastline using the same sun-and-seawater evaporation methods passed down since the founder’s grandparents’ time — now paired with modern drying, grading and lab testing to guarantee purity and safety. The network supports around 30 artisan salt-producing families along the coast, and has taken Kampot salt to markets across Europe, North America and Japan. Our Kampot fleur de sel carries more essential minerals than ordinary table salt, with less sodium and chloride.
Moist, crunchy, and complex — a sweet attack that settles into a briny finish. Finish a dish with it; don’t cook with it. A pinch over grilled fish, dark chocolate, or ripe tomatoes is all it needs.
