A cup grown by farmers who’ve worked this land for generations.
Well-balanced acidity with notes of green tea, citrus and oats — recognised as one of the world’s best coffees in 2019. Brew it as you would any specialty-grade arabica: filter, pour-over, or cafetière all let the citrus notes shine.
Our selected coffee comes from an award-winning social enterprise located in Ywa Ngan, Chan State, Myanmar. Part of a network of 6,000 farmers of the Danu tribe who have been farming their lands for generations, they formed a cooperative in 2012. Rich in Acrisols and at an altitude from 1,200 to 2,200m, the area is ideal for growing high quality arabica coffee.
The cooperative helped the farmers to improve growing, selecting and processing techniques but also to receive competitive compensation to provide for their families. The cooperative also contributes to the support of local education, healthcare and forestry efforts.
Until 2018, they were mostly selling their coffee within Myanmar and Cambodia where we came to know them. In 2020, they entrusted the distribution of their coffee through the UK and Europe. Through our partners, we are honored to bring to you arguably the best arabica coffee in Southeast Asia.
